Funeral Verse
For those who don't know what to say A few lines now'n'again; Will inspire you and raise memories To show you-yes you can.
**
Words to say whilst you pray At the graveside of someone you love; The only thing holding you up Is the strength coming from up above.
The fight for life has now been lost A fight always to the very end; As precious life ebbed away I thank you for being my friend.
We spent some time down memory lane It was still fun as it always was; It made us smile triumphantly We still had that same buzz.
So Goodbye my friend We'll meet again some day; Till then enfolded in angels wings There's no more I can say. Maggie-May

Daisy born sleeping
Underneath the arches The tree lined path it stops; That's where you'll be at peace Where the flowers grow like crops.
Your favorite to flower all year round You'll never be alone; The birds and bees will fly around In heaven you'll be grown. Maggie-May

Adieu & Au Revoir
As you love me, let there be No mourning when I go, No tearful eyes, No hopeless sighs, No woe, nor even sadness! Indeed I would not have you sad, For I myself shall be full of glad, With the high triumphant gladness of a soul made free Of God’s sweet liberty No windows darkened: For my own Will be flung wide as ne’er before, To catch the rqadiant inpour Of Love that shall in full arone For all the ills that I have done: And the good things that I have left undone: -No voices hushed: My own full flushed With an immortal hope, will rise In ecstasies of new born bliss And joyful melodoies. Rather, of your sweet courtesy, Rejoice with me At my soul’s loosing from captivity. Wish me Bon Voyage As you do a friend Whose joyous visit finds its happy end. John Oxenham

I know I have to let you go. How I will, I do not know. I know that it's your time to die. What I don't know is how to say goodbye. I'll miss you so much I don't know what to do. I guess I'll just end this poem with a goodbye and an I love you. Jenna Leigh Walters

Indian prayer When I am dead Cry for me a little Think of me sometimes But not too much Think of me now and again As I was in life At some moments it’s pleasant to recall But not for long Leave me in peace And I shall leave you in peace And while you live Let your thoughts be with the living

Laugh, and the world laughs with you, Weep, and you weep alone, For sad old earth must borrow it’s mirth, But has trouble enough of it’s own. Sing, and the hills will answer; Sigh,it is lost on the air, The echoes bound to a joyful sound, But shrink from voicing care.
Rejoice, and men will seek you; Grieve, and they will turn and go. They want full measure of all your pleasure. But they do not need your woe. Be gald, your friends are many, Be sad,and you lose them all. There are none to decline your nectared wine, But alone you must drink life’s gall.
Feast, and your halls are crowded, Fast, and the world goes by. Succeed and give – and it helps you live, But no man can help you die. There is room in the halls of pleasure For a large and worldly train But one by one we must all file on Through the narrow aisles of pain. Solitude Ella Wheeler Cox

Epitaph upon a child that died Here she lies, a pretty bud, Lately made of flesh and blood: Who as soon fell fast asleep As her little eyes did peep Give her strewings, but did not stir The earth that lightly covers her. Robert Herrick

Epitaph on a friend
An honest man here lies at rest, The friend of man, the friend of truth The friend of age, and guide of youth: Few hearts like his, with virtue warmed, Few heads with knowledge so in formed; If there’s another world ,he lives in bliss; If there is none, he made the best of this. Robert Burns
